Trip to England

The Whole Hog, the best breakfast and lunch place in the country. Dick and I found it. Alison, Austin and I passed it, made a U-turn and stopped on our way to Whitby. The family at Dick's Celebration of Life in Bakewell. Fountain's Abbey, At a pub for lunch with the cousins in Sheffield, fondly remembering our trip.

Happenings since last post

Cruise from Brooklyn to Quebec City with Alison was fantastic on the Queen Mary 2. Ports included Bar Harboor Maine, Cornerbrook, Sept Ile and Quebec City, Canada.
Went to England in June to Bakewell with all the family for Dick and the boys' service. Visited with relatives, went on a canal boat trip, toured Abbeys and Castles with Alison and Austin.
Went to Carmel.

Refresh & Renew

I am content with my life now. I have the love of my family, friends. My Church family is wonderful. Two weeks ago, I went to the Women's Retreat at the Mercy Center in Auburn. It was wonderfully refreshing. Three weeks ago, went to Bob & Kitty's to look at real estate with John. After coming back and talking to Alison and Sloane, decided not to move. This is our home and I am happy with it. Alison is coming home this week for Easter. We will visit Mom/Grams, go to Church and have Brunch on Easter Sunday. Relaxing now with the animals in the craft room. I feel that I have a renewed sense of purpose. Especially with my journaling projects. Travel is part of my future. I am grateful for my life's journey with Dick. I learned so much. He came to me in my dream last night. I am in awe of him, his work ethic and the life we made together. Feeling love and peace.

San Jose, Mom's house...

Today is Billie's Memorial at St. Christopher's church with a gathering to follow at Billie's house. It will be nice to be with family. I loved Billie so much, she was always so warm, welcoming, loving and fun. I am sitting in the living room, at Mom's, with a blanket so warm and cozy. It rained in the middle of the night. Sheila is off to Utah for Indian flute training. She will be back on Thursday. Alison and Austin are in Nashville this weekend with Emily and Lincoln, who will also visit them until Thursday. I so appreciate the house that I grew up in and the location of it. So many memories. Christmas, family, happy times. Now the space is so functional for Mom and to accommodate her caregivers and us visiting. She is doing well at 90. Forgets sometimes. I am so relieved that she is here in her home and not in assisted living. Tomorrow, I will drive back to my house. Continuing my journey to explore life's purpose in peace and loving harmony with the universe for the good of all concerned.
